Maddie’s Point of View — Play Date

Mommy and I just got home from our first puppy play date. We met Bella (the brown border collie above) and Nightmare, who live with a co-worker of my Mommy’s.
We found a fenced-in area to play in and we finally got let off our leashes! I live for the times that happens. I like to be free.
Bella, Nightmare and I had a great time running around chasing each other. We of course also sniffed around to see what we could get into and eat. I overheard Mommy and her friend talking — I’m going to get a bath tonight because I guess I got dirty running around. Mommy said it was squishy and muddy out. I thought it was great.
Bella and I wrestled around on the ground. I can’t do that with Mommy, although I convince Daddy to do it once in a while. It’s way more fun with Bella though. I can be rougher with her. Plus she doesn’t have glasses that can be broken. Daddy always tells me to leave his alone.
Nightmare knows some good tricks. She can give her owner ‘10,’ touching both her paws to his hands when he holds them out. Bella is just a baby so is still learning things.
After we finished playing, Mommy took me to a place called Dairy Queen. I don’t know what it is, but I really like it. I got a really good treat there, I think Mommy called it a Pup Cup. It was vanilla ice cream. After an hour of playing, I was ready for something cold so I licked it up real fast.
Now I’m tired and want to sleep. I’m curled up under Mommy’s chair while she does some work.
I’ll let Mommy post more pictures of our play date while I rest. Woof.
