D.O.G. Book — Beck

Beck will be three years old in April. He’s half rottweiler and half black lab, at least that’s the best guess. He’s a happy boy — that’s the lab side. He likes chasing squirrels, rabbits and deer. He’s definitely a dog and people lover. Originally I was going to name him Steiny after one of my favorite authors, John Steinbeck. But my mother preferred Beck, so that stuck.

D.O.G. Book — Boji

Boji is a shiba inu, which most people translate to looks-like-a-fox. When his owner bought him, he made sure to get the most rambunctious puppy in the litter. Though nearly 3, Boji still gets excited when anyone comes in the door. He loves to play tug with his rope, and he also loves to chase his squeaker fish and his rubber ball with a bell in it. Boji’s overall a pretty quiet, laid-back dog. He loves to sleep in the sun or by a radiator heater, and he loves long walks so he can sniff everything known to man. Oh, and he’ll do tricks for treats.

D.O.G. Book — Nightmare and Bella
Nightmare is the offspring of a small american eskimo male and a bichon frise female. Thanks to her mixed heritage, she has one pointy ear, a trait of the american eskimo, and one floppy ear, compliments of her bichon mother. Her favorite toy is a squeaky hedgehog, or just about anything that makes noise when chomped on. When not chasing down stuffed rodents, she likes to spend time cuddling on laps, napping and having her head scratched.Nightmare will turn three on Valentines Day, which she likes to celebrate with her favorite treat — steak. In those three years we have never had to cut her nails because she chews them short, a habit she picked up from her human mommy, Jessi.
Just a pup, Bella is four months old. Her mother is a border collie and father whatever happened to jump the fence. She has lived with us for about one month. She eats just about everything, but her favorite treat is ham.Her favorite toy is Nightmare. She also loves tearing up tissue paper into teeny tiny pieces. -
D.O.G. Book
The D.O.G. Book is Maddie’s version of Facebook.
On it, she will post pictures and bios of her friends and relatives.
Socialization is very important for dogs, especially puppies, so we hope this section grows as she gets out there and makes new friends.
Maddie seems to get along well with most dogs. We made a new friend recently, a beautiful chocolate lab pup at the end of our street. Mocha and Maddie have a great time together, even though they have only been able to play together on leashes. That leads to a lot of tie ups.
Maddie hopes to make friends with Maggie down the street. Maggie had a rough experience recently with a pair of bigger dogs, so they will need some time to get used to each other.
Only one time has Maddie not gotten along with another puppy. She stayed with her cousins after Christmas when Rob and I went to Florida for the Outback Bowl. While with cousins Ike and Abby, she met their friend Bacchus, an Alaskan Malamute not much older than she is. I guess Bacchus and Maddie did not get along at all, and could not even be in the same room together. I hope if they meet again, we can try to work that out.
